What is FLSA Status? 

The FLSA status of an employee refers to the type of classification where they belong according to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). An employee’s FLSA status can either be “non-exempt” or “exempt.” An exempt employee does not qualify for minimum wage and is not entitled to overtime pay. On the other hand, a non-exempt employee is entitled to overtime pay.
