Shift Leaders are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality standards, emphasizing adherence to food safety, and fostering a positive work environment among team members. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the food service industry with kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate team members to provide excellent customer service and achieve operational goals.
- Shift Management: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations during assigned shifts, i closing procedures, staffing, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety throughout the restaurant and address any issues promptly.
- Food Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Handle any operational issues or emergencies that arise during shifts, including equipment malfunctions, staffing shortages, or customer incidents; take appropriate action to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in the kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines; ServSafe certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be bi-lingual
