When you're the bartender at Twelve, it really is like being behind the bar at "Cheers"! We have such a great group of regulars, we know almost all of them by name...and they love to see you! We treat our bar the same as we do our kitchen...we make all of the ingredients for our cocktails from scratch, daily to be able to offer the best cocktails and martinis in west Wichita!
Responsibilities for daily bar prep prior to opening:
- Preparing and batching of house sangria recipes, infused liquors & mixers
- Preparing fruit & garnishes for cocktail services
- Maintaining bar inventory for shift
- Communicating with front of house & back of house staff with regards to inventory & specials
- Stocking inventory of all wines, liquors & beer
- Maintain a clean & sanitary work station
Bartender responsibilities during shift:
- Preparing mixed drinks & sangrias for service at tables or for to go within time standards
- Ensuring all drinking patrons are of legal drinking age
- Servicing dine-in customers and to go customers with food orders in a timely & knowledgeable fashion
- Interacting & entertaining all guests in a friendly and knowledgeable fashion
- Ensuring a clean & sanitary work environment
Other responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean & sanitary work station at all times
- Set up coworkers for success prior to clocking out
- Participate in overall cleanliness of bar/restaurant
- Take out trash at end of shifts
- Communicating with management & both front of house staff & back of house staff in regards to inventory issues, guest suggestions etc.
