Our line cooks work & communicate skillfully in our open kitchen to make every dish served from scratch. It takes a lot of skill, communication, and effort to make it look like a choreographed ballet. That is why we only hire the best to do it!
Responsibilities prior to shift
- Ensure all items for the station are properly stocked and fresh
- Check for properly labeled and rotated items
- Prep items that are missing/out of date
- Set other coworkers up for success
- Ensure you are starting with a clean and sanitized workstation
- Work with coworkers to ensure everything needed to operate a successful shift is stocked, fresh, and ready to go
Responsibilities during shift
- Prepare menu items to specifications and guest requests within time standards
- Communicate with coworkers to ensure all tickets are prepared properly and to guest specifications or menu specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace during the shift
- Restock items as they run out to ensure the next coworker is set up for success
- Any tasks communicated by the chef or kitchen manager
Responsibilities at end of shift
- Clean, sanitize, and stock all coolers
- Properly clean & detail all cooking equipment, including ovens, ranges, microwaves and fryers
- Take out the trash, rinse out trash cans, and replace them with empty liners
- Move all equipment and clean floors & walls behind equipment
- Help other team members with closing down other stations
- Help dishwasher to take out trash, finish final dishes
- Participate in cleaning tables, floors, and equipment in the prep kitchen
- Requirements:
- Open availability
- Basic knife skills
- Knowledge of basic cooking equipment
Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $14-$18/per hour
- $500 signing bonus (Ask for details at your interview)
