Job Title: Back of House Team Leader
Location: Chick-Fil-A, Huntington Mall, Barboursville, West Virginia
Position Overview:
As a Back of House Team member at Chick-Fil-A, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and operational excellence in the kitchen area. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring efficient food preparation, order accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to Chick-Fil-A's rigorous standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement among your team members.
Responsibilities:
1. Food Safety and Compliance:
- Oversee all aspects of food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, preparation, and serving.
- Ensure compliance with Chick-Fil-A's food safety standards, as well as local health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential food safety hazards or compliance issues promptly.
2. Hospitality:
- Collaborate with the Front of House Team Leader to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.
- Foster a culture of hospitality and guest satisfaction among kitchen staff, emphasizing the importance of quality, consistency, and presentation in every dish.
3. Speed of Service and Order Accuracy:
- Coordinate with the front of house team to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and minimize wait times for customers.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
4. Safe and Clean Environment:
- Enforce strict cleanliness and sanitation protocols in the kitchen area, including regular cleaning schedules and proper waste disposal procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is properly maintained and sanitary conditions are upheld at all times.
5. Team Building and Development:
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to Chick-Fil-A's values.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to kitchen staff to enhance their skills, performance, and teamwork.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, encouraging open communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.
6. Routine Cleanliness and Opening/Closing Checklist Completion:
- Develop and implement comprehensive opening and closing checklists to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
- Monitor the completion of routine cleaning tasks, equipment maintenance, and inventory management to uphold Chick-Fil-A's standards of cleanliness and operational readiness.
7. Additional requirements:

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to upholding compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
