Responsibilities and Duties
As a Front Team Member, you will join the team that is the face behind the Chick-fil-A brand. Our Front of House team works together to serve thousands of guests every day with excellence and care. You will have an opportunity to learn each role within our Front of House: from taking orders on iPad, tender and handling payment transactions, preparing beverages, bagging meals, and interacting and serving the needs of our guests with joy and enthusiasm. All while upholding the highest standards in order accuracy and cleanliness. Ultimately as a front team member, you will maintain a laser focus on the guest. As a Front Team Member you will be responsible for:
- Taking orders
- Expediting/bagging
- Delivering meals to guests
- Assisting with guests needs
- Maintaining a sparkling clean dining room with a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor and clean the playground, restrooms, outdoor patio, and parking lot.
- Share and answer questions about the Chick-fil-A brand, food products, Chick-fil-A One app, catering, and current marketing campaign support
- Collaborate with team members and fulfill our mission: Excellence every day & Care for everyone
- Achieving annual and 90-Day Performance Goals
Qualifications and Skills
- A qualified candidate must be 16 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- A qualified candidate must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for brief and short distances.
- For part-time positions: consistent weekly availability between Monday-Saturday is preferred and the ability to work at least 20 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for part time status.
- For full-time positions: open availability between Monday-Saturday and the ability to work at least 35 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for full time status. Additionally full-time employees must be 18 year of age or older.
- A qualified candidate will have the ability to speak and understand English. We also look for candidates who know other languages such as Spanish, American Sign Language, and others.
- Previous work experience is not required, but it is helpful. You will receive on the job training and development throughout your career with Chick-fil-A Harbor Blvd.
Front Team Member positions will be expected to regularly work four hour, six hour, or eight hour shifts, at various times within the various day parts of: morning (5:30am-2pm), afternoon (11am-7:30pm), or evening (3:30pm-12am), depending on the needs of the business and store performance goals.
A prime candidate will have availability during two, three, or all of these day part times on a regular daily basis and will also have open weekend availability between Thursday - Saturday.
As a Front Team Member you will need to focus on the following areas in your daily performance:
1. Provide Remarkable Service
- Provide a professional and friendly guest interaction including Core 4, 2nd mile service and use the language of hospitality throughout a guest’s experience
- Expedite/bag orders accurately and expeditiously ensuring seamless communication between Front of House, Back of House (Kitchen), and Delivery
- Effectively take orders and help answer guest questions throughout a transaction
- Ensure accuracy of orders including proper food and condiments
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and to the customer about wait times
- Follow procedures for confirming correct orders and ensuring the guest has all they need to enjoy their meal
2. Maintain a Sparkling Clean and Safe Environment
- Ensure a clean and inviting dining room environment which includes tables, chairs, flowers, marketing materials, condiment bars, floors, floorboards, walls, windows and ceiling
- Ensure a clean and inviting restroom environment which includes sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, walls, windows, and paper supplies
- Ensure a clean and inviting playground environment which includes slides, shoe cubbies, floors, floorboards, walls, windows and ceiling
- Ensure a clean and inviting parking lot environment which includes patio tables & chairs, umbrellas, floors, parking lot asphalt and landscape beds
- Always be prepared for Internal or Health Department visits by following required food quality and safety process and procedures at all times
- Consistently follow all food safety procedures and standards
3. Chick-fil-A Brand & Product Knowledge
- Stay current on marketing events, sampling, and the menu
- Suggestively sell and up sale to customers in line with marketing strategy
- Proficient with POS technology including Chick-fil-A One App, mobile ordering, gift cards, and Apple Pay
4. Proficiency in Assigned Front Stations
- Stay current on training updates and new product rollouts for assigned stations

1. Accrual plans begin on the first day of employment. However, paid leave is not available until after 90 days of employment.
