Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Available during all dayparts, including evenings and Saturdays
  • Cares deeply for the 5 core customers (team, guests, community, self and the brand)
  • Oriented toward growth, in the spirit of inspiring people to become the best versions of themselves
  • Exhibits ownership within role and embraces problems as they arise
  • Shepherds leaders through the development process and earns results through people
  • Plans effectively to achieve results, anticipates challenges and creates contingencies to insure outcome success
  • Leverages systems to reach goals and coaches the team toward a systematic standard
  • Manages time and effort to execute responsibilities and achieve outcomes
  • Develops self inside and outside of the restaurant
  • Willingness to resolve conflict with team members, shift leaders, and directors urgently
  • Experience in both BOH and FOH
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred


Education & Experience:

  • 1+ years restaurant BOH/Kitchen leadership experience necessary


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Food Safety and Quality to foster an environment where Team Members can become better versions of themselves - providing clear expectations, stated goals, and charted progress
  • Maintain a presence on the floor to coach team members and leaders on Back of the House towards excellence, to remove obstacles, and to set the tone for positivity and pride in one’s work
  • Encourage team member's strengths and develop future leaders of the business
  • Care for Back of House team and leaders by giving timely feedback, regularly communicating and connecting personally (leverage systems-huddles,1:1, reviews, etc)
  • Maintain communication and relationship with service vendors
  • Prepared to answer questions about Back of House performance during weekly meeting
  • Communicate hiring needs to the appropriate channels
  • Train team for catering order fulfillment and processes
  • Collaborates with directors in a timely and respectful manner about needs and changes in Back of House
  • Create and maintain all systems that deal with Food Cost and Inventory; ensuring that the business is getting what it needs to run successfully.
  • Lead Inventory and R & M Specialists through 1:1’s and partnering with them to create the systems
