At Dimos, people who apply for a job here think they’re getting a service/hospitality job. And they’re not wrong. But that’s not nearly the whole picture. Our photographer started as a front of house team member. The guy who comes up with all the flavors of the pizzas, he started as a pizza cook. The team member who makes the schedule? Responsibilities
- Making and serving cocktails and drinks in accordance with customer need
- Operate POS and cash register as needed
- Taking beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Balance walk-in and delivery business needs
- Keep work area clean and tidy up to Chicago health code standards
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- Restock and reset after each shift
- Light prep work of garnishes etc
- Assist in other departments as needed
Skills/Abilities required
- Passion for beverage
- Must be able to stay on feet for prolonged period of time
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Good communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Good prioritization and planning skills
- Can stay calm under pressure
- Belief in the greater good
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Solid knowledge of beverages
