An integral part of our operations, our Dishwashers are professionals who ensure the sanitary conditions of our kitchens and a consistent supply of clean plateware and cutlery. Dishwashers follow thorough dishwashing procedures to fully sanitize each dish according to health and safety standards. They sort dishes in the dish pit into different categories, spray down each tray of dishes and either scrub them by hand or place them into an industrial dishwasher. Dishwashers are in charge of changing each load of dishes at the right time to efficiently wash multiple loads of dishes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, run and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
- Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before they are put away on dish racks or used by your fellow team members.
- Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it’s clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
- Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors and dining room hallways at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
- Sanitize work area at least once an hour throughout your shift to prevent cross-contamination.
- Set up the dish room and dishwashing machine before your shift and properly break both down after every shift.
- Adhere to the most current rules regarding food safety and hygiene.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Able to effectively read tickets in English
- Preferred - high school diploma or GED

- Passion for the service industry

- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50 lbs. as well as standing on your feet for up to 8 hours
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Fast-paced high, volume restaurant
- Exposure to a noisy environment
- Exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season and location
