Culver’s is hiring for a Porter!
Every day, our porters hustle to set an excellent Culver’s experience in motion. Our porters open the doors each morning and ensure our restaurants and equipment are in tip-top condition, so being a morning person is a plus! Porters keep our kitchens stocked with safe, fresh ingredients that meet our high quality standards. Basically, porters keep our entire operation running smoothly for guests and team, so we can deliver a dining experience unlike any other.
Schedule:
• 6:00am-2:30pm shifts (non-truck delivery days), 5:00am-2:30pm shifts (truck delivery days)
• Flexible scheduling, with a combination of weekends and weekdays, as needed
• Closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
Responsibilities:
• Provides superior maintenance to interior and exterior of restaurant timely and accurately
• Completes daily jobs timely and accurately, including grill cleaning, filtering fryer vats, scrubbing/cleaning floors, rotating food items, cleaning restrooms, as well as weekly and monthly jobs.
• Maintains the appearance of the building exterior and grounds effectively, including landscaping and snow removal
• Demonstrates sanitation and food safety practices consistently
• Puts food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer and dry storage area using the First In-First Out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates.
• Takes temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately.
• Maintains a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant
• Completes scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly
• Reports possible areas of incomplete closing to opening leader.
• Porter duties completed by 10:30 to be ready to work in the kitchen during the lunch shift.
• Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on duty

Qualifications:
• A genuine smile!

• 1-3 years’ experience with equipment maintenance preferred, but not required
• Maintains a sense of urgency
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Good communication, reading and writing skills
• Enjoys performing routine tasks
• Works well in kitchen with a team
• Strong work ethic and strong time management skills
• Demonstrates trained food safety knowledge
• Communicates with guests, team and management
• Problem solver
Physical Abilities:

• Climb up and down a ladder to a height of 25 feet
• Sweep, mop and scrub using hazardous materials
• Reach, bend and clean surfaces regularly

• Works both in and outdoors each 50 percent of the time
• Work safely to avoid hazards including but are not limited to: cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns
• Lift/carry 10 lbs or less constantly; Lift/carry 11-20 lbs constantly; Lift/carry 21-50 lbs frequently; Lift/carry 51-100 lbs frequently
