A Kitchen Manager is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. They are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence. A Kitchen Manager’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Kitchen Managers lead by example first and set the tone that others will follow.
PLEASE NOTE: If a candidate has never worked for/in a Chick-fil-A restaurant before, they will almost certainly need to work as a team member for at least 90 days before being considered for a leadership position.
Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead/oversee daily operations of assigned shift
- Troubleshoot staffing for the shift.
- Provide a fast and accurate service during assigned shift.
- Communicate and troubleshoot issues with fellow managers.
- Hold team accountable to handbook and culture standards.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment.
- Oversee systems and processes in the kitchen
- Having 1:1's with Assistant Managers to workshop and explain execution of Chick-fi-A's goals and vision
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
- Strong commitment to superior customer service
- Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
- Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
- The ability to speak Spanish or another language in addition to English is not required but is preferred.
