As an Administrative Manager, you will supervise the office team and help to ensure that all partners are operating in accordance with legislative and regulatory policies and procedures. This evolving role will be responsible for coaching partners on proper wage and hour policies and support the general manager on policy and protocol implementation, partner relations escalations, and various other compliance matters.
Annual Salary Range
$68640 - $80000 per year
Actual salary offer within the listed range may vary based on work experience and other objective factors. The pay range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future, in compliance with applicable laws.
Duties
- Implement and communicate company programs and policies that support business goals and drive results while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in recruitment, interviews, performance reviews, and development planning of hourly non-exempt partners.
- Supervise and develop the restaurant’s office team and determine all pay rates and work schedules for these positions.
- Support in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Ensure employee relations issues are referred to the management team for resolution and escalation to the Human Resources department, as needed.
- Lead partner onboarding and be responsible for ensuring completeness of all new hire documentation. Ensure documents are uploaded to the company’s human resources information system (HRIS) for digital records.
- Create processes for inspection and tracking of all non-negotiable compliance requirements within the building.
- Train, respond to inquiries, and ensure all hourly non-exempt partners are clocking in and out properly. Inspect and approve all hourly non-exempt partners’ timecards.
- Counsel partners who are not in compliance with attendance and meal/rest break policies.
- Ensure that legally mandated safety trainings are current, maintained, and being followed.
- Responsible for assisting and working with the general manager on sensitive issues, including timely filing of guest incident reports and worker’s comp claims.
- Provide information to partners on company-sponsored benefit programs and coordinate meetings between partners and Human Resources to discuss benefits questions and enrollment.
- Support proper administration of the company’s HRIS for payroll, timecard management, leave management, and benefits. Inspect other management levels of understanding on compliance and payroll accuracy needs.
- Perform HRIS audits to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct partner personnel file audits.
- Prepare information requested or required for compliance with laws.
- Organize and conduct partner focus groups.
- Provide in-house IT support with various operations systems; Micros, iPads, office printers, etc.
- Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, human resources, labor relations, or related field, or equivalent related experience. Bachelor degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of human resources experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time experience.
- Spanish fluency; verbal and written.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal employment practices and regulations.
- Demonstrated high level of discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
- Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
