We are looking for an hourly manager to assist in the FOH operations along with and in the absence of our general manager. Dedication to great customer service, reliable transportation, positive attitude, the ability to lead a team and making decisions that are in the best interest of the customers, employees and company are positive attributes necessary to be successful in our restaurant.

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required. Food service experience is a plus. A flexible schedule would be great, but we also believe in working to live, not living to work.

Our ideal candidate would be someone interested in becoming a General Manager. As our company grows, we are looking for long term teammates who would like to grow and move up accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Front of the House activities
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
• Regularly review product quality
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Respond to customer reviews on social media, primarily Google and Trip Advisor
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
• Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
• Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
• Proven customer service experience as a manager
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
• Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
• BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
