Job Title: Maintenance and Cleaning Worker

Job Overview: The Maintenance and Cleaning Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of the facility. This position involves both routine cleaning and minor maintenance duties to maintain a clean, functional, and safe environment for team members and guests. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to perform tasks independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Powerwash the sidewalks every morning. 
  • Powerwash the trash coral every other day.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop floors in all areas of the facility.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms daily. 
  • Clean trash cans weekly 
  • Clean windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Clean thaw cabinets, inside and outside. 
  • Maintain clean floors and baseboards
  • Minor Maintenance Tasks:
  • Perform light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and checking for minor plumbing issues.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors or the appropriate department.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensure all cleaning and maintenance supplies are stored safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by identifying potential hazards and taking corrective actions.
  • Inventory and Supplies:
  • Monitor cleaning and maintenance supply levels and notify the supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the storage areas for cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Facility Inspections:
  • Conduct daily inspections of the facility to identify cleaning or maintenance needs.
  • Report any damage or unusual conditions to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or facility manager.
  • Assist in responding to emergency cleaning or maintenance situations.

Qualifications:

  • Available Monday-Saturday either 5am-2pm or 3pm-11pm
  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance roles preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of minor repair tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, etc.).
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and in different indoor and outdoor environments.
