Position Philosophy:
This position is responsible for administrative data entry and invoice matching at all Owenhouse locations. The Office Receiving position will also assist the Receiving Lead and Accounts Payable as needed.

Office Receiving Responsibilities:
- Ensure all goods are received quickly and accurately, using standard store-implemented procedures.
- Manage all receiving-related paperwork, adhering to store-implemented procedures.
- Contact vendors to obtain paperwork and resolve issues as needed.
- Maintain vendor information.
- Work to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure data accuracy within store systems.
- Work with the Inventory Manager and Receiving Lead to expedite the receiving process, adhering to store-implemented procedures.
- Work with the Inventory Manager, Receiving Lead, and Accounts Payable to correct any discrepancies found after the product has been received.
- Work with the Inventory Manager, Receiving Lead and Accounts Payable to follow through with all requests for credit to ensure we receive credits for returned or defective goods.
- Work with Accounts Payable to manage the receiving-related portions of the bi-weekly Ace Statements for both Owenhouse Hardware locations.
- Work with management to manage and maintain pricing changes.
- Manage the scanning of all necessary documents into our system.
- Manage the ordering of supplies for this position.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily Huddle meetings and team chores as directed by management.
- Attend necessary training and meetings.
- Utilize Dexter for appropriate communications.
- Manage all correspondence related to this position, including email communications.
- Monitor Compass reports pertinent to this position.
- Maintain all files relevant to this position.
- Assist in keeping office operations organized and clean.
- Assist with simple IT issues as needed.
- Assist in answering phones.
- Assist in taking account payments.
- Assist with counting store tills and taking deposits as needed.
- Assist in cashiering as needed.
- Assist customers and other employees as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School degree, some college preferred.
- Possess a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn.
- Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software, with the ability to learn other job-related software.
- Maintain a high degree of attention to detail.
- Analytical ability to investigate/audit why numbers or inventory are off.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Communicate well with others, and work well as part of a retail team.
- Provide and accept constructive suggestions and instructions.
- Ability to place proper priorities on work to be done.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to help with other office-related tasks outside of this job position.
Physical Requirements:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Work may require periodic weekend and/or evening work as workload dictates; during prime/peak times.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to hear, understand, and communicate orally and in writing to customers and staff.
