Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment law matters, including recruiting, discipline, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial contracts, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and oversee the Legal and Compliance team, managing paralegals, compliance specialists, and external legal resources.
- Manage employment litigation, administrative claims, and workplace investigations with sound judgment and responsiveness.
- Develop and deliver training programs on employment law compliance and workplace ethics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of employment law experience, including law firm and in-house roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to provide clear, actionable advice under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
