AFIMAC is seeking an experienced & licensed Private Investigator for part-time (with potential for full time) work in Ontario.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct open-source intelligence inquiries on individuals and corporations for enhanced due diligence, litigation, and security matters.
- Review documentary and electronic information in an efficient way looking for patterns, connections, identifying risks and highlighting important details relevant to cases.
- Support senior investigators and analysts in the conduct of their investigative activity.
- Prepare high-quality written reports,following our standard reporting methodology.
- Conduct social media monitoring for risks, threats and content of relevance to assist clients
- Maintain a focus on business requirements and developing solutions to meet the needs of our team.
While the role will primarily focus on the firm’s investigation/intelligence products, the successful candidate will also have ad-hoc responsibilities to support consulting and training requirements..
The Qualifications You Possess
We are looking for someone who is a strong problem solver, detail oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role you:
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Are comfortable working independently and in teams.
- Are creative, solutions-oriented and are passionate about solving problems.
- Have experience with researching, analyzing and synthesizing data from online and off-line sources. These include but are not limited to social media, apps, public record databases, search engines etc.
- Are comfortable working with standard office software, analytical tools such as Excel and others, social-media and deep web databases.
- Have demonstrated experience in open-source intelligence, investigations, intelligence analysis and law, particularly dealing with commercial matters.
- Are organized and have strong prioritization skills.
- Currently hold, or would qualify for a security clearance with the Government of Canada and provincial governments.
- Currently hold an Ontario Private Investigator’s license. This is a mandatory qualification for the position.
- Have a university degree in business, law, political science, criminology or similar field. College diplomas and relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Have taken training in open-source intelligence analysis and analytical tools/techniques.
