Zooba is now hiring Bussers for our Nolita restaurant.

We are introducing an expanded menu of the tastes of Egypt to Manhattan with full dine-in service. Experience bussing or serving Egyptian, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine in a restaurant setting is a plus.

The Job Details

• Provide runner service working with the wait staff to deliver food and beverages to the table for dine-in service.
• Provide bussing service to clear the tables after each dish is finished, and to reset the table when the guests leave.
• Greet, welcome and at the end of service offer a farewell to guests.
• Master knowledge of all Zooba food and beverage menu items.
• Consistently follow Zooba’s steps of service with efficiency and a positive attitude, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
• Ensure the table set-up is complete based on the number of guests at each table.
• Ensure the dining room is always ready for service including table settings, prepping stations, beverage station, and bussing areas during the hours of operation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
• Always adhere to Zooba’s safety policies, alcoholic beverage service rules, and Department of Health guidelines.

• Obsesses over the details to get the orders out correctly

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience as a runner or busser in a fast-paced casual dining restaurant
• Knowledge of service standards and steps of service
• Works well as part of a service team
• Able to stay calm and productive under pressure
• English proficiency with strong communication skills
• Completion of high school diploma
• Able to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule required (morning, evening and weekend shifts)
