POSITION SUMMARY


The General Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a specific 4R Restaurant Group location. The General Manager motivates the team, fosters accountability, and ensures operational excellence while upholding company values. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff, managing inventory and supplies, ensuring consistent product quality and guest service, and adhering to food and beverage regulations. This in-person role requires strong leadership in hiring, training, and scheduling, as well as sound judgment to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. The General Manager reports to the Area Manager or Operating Partner, depending on the location.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Proven leadership experience and accountability development in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, including labor, food cost, waste, and repairs & maintenance (R&M).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Foster a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and recognizing team achievements to drive motivation and performance.
  • Cultivate a guest-focused environment by ensuring exceptional service, addressing feedback promptly, and creating memorable experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain or currently hold food safety certification.
  • Availability to work day and night shifts, weekends, and some holidays as needed based on business requirements.


PREFERRED:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, R365, and Schoox.
  • Current involvement in community engagement initiatives.
  • Strong culinary background or scratch kitchen exposure.
  • In touch with local store marketing and community events.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and managing events to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive positive sales growth through effective leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

POSITION FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling of all store employees.
  • Ensure proper training for back-of-house and front-of-house operations.
  • Manage inventory levels and purchase equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Oversee P&L and financial aspects, including labor, food cost, waste, and R&M.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment and culture.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the management team to ensure successful business operations and build a strong talent pool.
  • Maintain high standards for food preparation and quality to ensure all guests receive consistent, quality service.
  • Address guest complaints promptly, delivering service that aligns with the company's "above and beyond" approach.
  • Accurately handle and reconcile cash and other company resources.
  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members, managers, and senior leadership.
  • Monitor and ensure the maintenance and safety of the building and equipment.
  • Engage in community involvement and event management to drive brand awareness and sales growth.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by identifying opportunities to improve operations, increase sales, and enhance customer experiences.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support overall business operations.
