Shift Lead -Night Shift

Rate of payStarting at $15 per hour
  • Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and professional in every aspect of performance.
  • Enthusiastically greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand.
  • Strive to exceed fan expectations and deliver fan first service by adhering to company standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness.
  • Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Pace the crew to high levels of performance by understanding the importance of speed of service and resolve bottlenecks in work flow.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is properly organized and staffed through proper job assignments and delegation of tasks during both peak and non-peak periods.
  • Create and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate to maximize morale, productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members.
  • Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and team members.
  • Model performance standards for all team members and work stations, lead by example.
  • Technical proficiency with computers and with Point-of-Sale systems.
  • At all times exhibit a genuine passion or excellence.
  • Flexibility and adaptability - willingness to follow directions and a commitment to meet DQ standards in all you do.
  • Ensure that all PRIDE Systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations at the restaurant.
  • Communicate all significant issues, both positive and negative, with management staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job requirements include:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership experience required. Previous quick service restaurant experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be capable of supervising all areas of the business in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions of each crew position.
  • Train and develop restaurant employees through orientation, establishing performance expectations, and continuous hands-on training.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.
  • Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices, must obtain ServSafe certification within four months of employment.
  • Highly organized, ambitious and detail oriented.
  • Work well under pressure packed situations while having fun and maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  • Comfortable standing for entire shift and able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and promptness.
