Sales Director

The Sales Director role is a key position responsible for developing strategies to attract new clients, negotiating contracts, and setting sales goals related to Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR. Sales and Marketing:

  • Business and Market Plan: Develop, implement, and achieve the hotel's annual business and market objectives.
  • Leadership: Guide the sales and marketing teams in executing policies and standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Drive sales through client meetings, events, and industry activities.
  • Cross-Selling & Synergies: Coordinate marketing initiatives for maximum exposure and profitability.
  • Sales Strategy: Direct efforts in soliciting clients and setting rates for group room sales.
  • Market Share Growth: Develop plans to grow the hotel’s share in the transient market.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare key reports to track performance and adjust strategies.
  • Market Research: Lead research on market trends to refine marketing strategies.

Revenue Management:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop revenue management plans to maximize hotel profitability.
  • Distribution Channels: Oversee revenue generation from major channels.
  • Catering Sales: Provide strategic oversight for catering sales efforts.

Systems Management:

  • System Utilization: Ensure adherence to sales systems for operational efficiency.
  • Technology: Oversee tools for better connectivity and communication within the team.

Essential Sales Functions:

  • Lead Generation & Development: Solicit and develop leads from group event planners.
  • Account Management: Negotiate contracts and manage smooth communication between departments.
  • Client Interaction: Represent the hotel in customer meetings and conduct on-site inspections.
  • Sales Presentations: Lead persuasive presentations to attract clients.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor sales activities to ensure goals are met.
  • Research & Innovation: Identify new opportunities through industry research.
  • Team Collaboration: Organize and participate in sales meetings to achieve goals.
