Job Purpose:
The General Manager exhibits and demonstrates all aspects of 4505 Burgers and BBQ expectations and excellence. To set the bar and the standard that others will follow and aspire to. Set the guidelines for accountability, service, professionalism and responsibility. To inspire and lead the team and ensure a successful employee experience. Be the self-evident leader of service and hospitality to all our patrons, vendors, and team members.
Qualifications:
- Availability for day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Experience in implementing and maintaining training programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Knowledge of HR policies and CA labor laws
- Food handling certification
- Strong background in restaurant management (3 years' experience required)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The General Manager duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to this overview,
· Daily exemplify excellent service and handle guest relations with a service-oriented mindset.
· Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, responsible point person for all staffing matters.
· Weekly financial analysis, P&L, labor, COGS, budget, forecasting.
· Responsible for coordinating strategic increased revenue plans with DO.
· Provide feedback and guidance to AGM, Sous, shift leaders.
· Monitor and observe guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction of food and service.
· Manage restaurant beverage program including ordering and maintenance.
· Manage and/or delegate proper invoice and accounting matters.
· Oversee, audit cash handling reporting, financials at end of day, deposits, and sensitive information management.
· Communicate nightly via the manager log.
· Issue and document corrective action including terminations and separations.
· Responsible for payroll, accurate payroll reporting, accurate final wages reporting to HR and accounting.
· Constant communication with ownership and upper management including responding to emails and slack promptly.
· Oversee safety and sanitation standards are being kept and upheld daily by all staff members.
· Manage inventory, properly report inventory, maintain ready and update inventory numbers for accounting.
· Attend required meetings and participate in team trainings.
· Assist in cleaning projects, deep cleaning, cleaning up irregular messes including back areas, restrooms, guest areas, employee areas, stock rooms, coolers, sweeping.
· Cut cost, increase revenue, adhere to budget, adjust and oversee areas of improvement.
· Be the overall point person for every team member and be accountable for all store matters.
· Generate and maintain strategic revenue creating relationships, events, offsite events, special events.
· May be required to deliver via a car offsite deliveries and caterings and work offsite on occasion for special events.
Working Conditions:
This position requires multi-tasking and orchestrating several tasks at a time. It may require working late hours, weeknights, weekend nights, and holidays. Working in crowded environments and handling hot dishes in a fast-paced setting may be required. The position may also involve working in outdoor conditions and handling sensitive employee relations. Skid and slip-resistant footwear may be required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires standing for extended periods of time, working near hot cooking surfaces, and occasional heavy lifting. It may also involve working in cold temperatures and handling raw food. Standing on hard surfaces and walking on gravel may be required. The position may involve driving for deliveries and offsite events.
