HVAC PARTS CHANGER

Rate of pay$50000 - 70000 per year

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, plus standby and overtime as needed

Weekend Hours: As requested for on-call duties

We’re looking for HVAC parts changers who want to learn and grow into established service technicians to deliver the most efficient, highest-quality customer experiences in residential HVAC repair.

As an HVAC parts changer, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competence and ensure desired sales metrics. You will go into our clients’ homes to perform routine maintenance on their residential heating and cooling systems. 

  • Work with a crew on general parts changing and maintenance. (Requires practical skills and knowledge but not proficiency...we will train!) 
  • Complete in-home maintenance calls on HVAC equipment. 
  • Establish customer rapport.
  • Communicate with customers to effectively explain heating and cooling system maintenance.  
  • Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
  • Understand your sales criteria and exceed revenue goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and knowledge to earn referrals and gain repeat business.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the business's overall success.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
  • Submit invoices, time cards, curbside feedback, and options sheets.

PREFERENCES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications
  • Proven track record in heating and cooling systems
  • Continued education and training to obtain NATE certification
  • Clean, safe driving record
  • Groomed, neat appearance
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • High integrity with advanced social skills and the ability to make solid connections
  • Motivated, self-starter who’s flexible and has a great attitude in life
  • Complete service calls in a timely manner, treating customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatcher, and sales
  • Participate in the normal rotation of after-hours and weekend standby duty
  • Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
