Job Summary/Essential Job Functions:
Chick-fil-A Team Members seek to provide guests with a remarkable experience every day by working as a team to give each guest an expeditious and high-quality experience. The Team Member also treats those they work with, as well as guests, with honor, dignity, and respect. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will prepare, cook, assemble and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards. You will also set up and breakdown work areas, maintain cleanliness and functionality, and are expected to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle food according to procedures, i.e., storing, labeling and stocking, etc.
- Ensures personal safety while operating fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment within the kitchen.
- Professional conduct is held amongst all employees and guests.
- Ensures the work environment is clean and well-stocked, i.e., utensils, equipment, counters, floors, etc.
- Communicates clearly with all team members and guests.
- Reports maintenance issues to Management.
- Prepares ingredients and food according to recipes and directions for distribution.
- Maintaining the proper amount of food and product at all times.
- Sets up, operates, and breaks down food stations.
- Monitors food temperatures and hold times.
- Attends and completes required training.
- Has morning and afternoon availability.
- Proper personal hygiene is maintained.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of safe work practices.
- Demonstrates knowledge of menu items.
- Demonstrates good customer service skills and basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to meet physical demands for the entire shift, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work quickly, yet efficiently and thoroughly.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
