JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are searching for an experienced Line Cook to join our No Soliciting culinary team in a fine dining setting. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver high quality meals that satisfy both the Executive Chef and Sous Chef’s expectations. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a drive to provide outstanding service to our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked
- Prepare the simple components of menu items before each shift
- Cook menu items in a high quality and timely fashion with support of culinary team
- Stock inventory and supplies
- Support the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the entire kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with assigned tasks
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking styles and methods, as well as of diverse ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant and kitchen operations
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, standing, and/or lifting heavy items for an extended period of time
- Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends
- Ability to follow proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures
- Positive attitude and capacity to handle multiple objectives simultaneously
