Job Summary:
The Creative Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating marketing project schedules, traffic management, and the smooth flow of information between creative production, field operations, and marketing teams. This role focuses on ensuring all marketing projects are delivered on time and meet brand standards by managing timelines, tracking project progress, and facilitating communication across departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traffic Management: Serve as the central point of contact for all marketing & creative project requests, assigning tasks to the appropriate teams, tracking progress, and ensuring projects move efficiently through each stage of development.
- Project Management: Manage multiple creative & marketing projects simultaneously, from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring that all deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Scheduling & Timeline Oversight: Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, working with creative, marketing, and field operations to ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between creative production, field operations, and marketing to align on project needs, resolve scheduling conflicts, and address any logistical or communication issues.
- Project Tracking & Status Updates: Regularly update project status in project management tools and conduct check-ins with stakeholders to keep all teams informed on project progress, potential delays, and key decision points.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure that the right resources (design, copywriting, videography, etc.) are assigned to each project by coordinating with department heads to manage workloads and address capacity concerns.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track key project metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, resource allocation efficiency, and project completion timelines, preparing regular reports and insights to optimize future projects.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including timelines, briefs, and status updates. Suggest and implement process improvements for more effective project management and workflow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, marketing traffic management, or a similar role in a marketing or creative environment
- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Wrike, or similar)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Knowledge of creative and marketing production processes, especially digital marketing channels, design, and experiential creative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to project management
Preferred:
- Experience in traffic management, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems and workflow optimization
- Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) or other creative tools
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address roadblocks and keep projects moving forward
- Knowledge of campaign metrics and data tracking for marketing performance reporting
- PMP Certification
