This role will manage full-cycle recruiting specifically for field positions, and during peak hiring periods, recruiting may become the primary focus. Additionally, the HR Generalist will contribute to HR operations, including compliance, HRIS/ATS administration, benefits, and leave management. This role also provides ad hoc and administrative support to the HR team as needed. This role is ideal for a recruiter that is looking to get more experience and exposure to broader human resources work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruiting (60%)
- Conduct full-cycle recruiting for field positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring an efficient and effective process.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
- Use various sourcing techniques, including online job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking, to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and support hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Manage job postings, track recruitment metrics, and provide regular updates on hiring progress.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, schools, and job fairs to support field recruitment initiatives.
- Note: During peak hiring periods, recruiting may be the primary or sole focus of this role.
2. Human Resources Administration & Compliance (40%)
- Compliance: Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- HRIS & ATS Administration: Manage and maintain employee information in the HRIS and ATS systems, ensuring data accuracy and producing reports as needed.
- HR Inbox Coverage: Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, leave of absence, and general HR questions in a timely manner.
- People Operations: Support employee onboarding & relations to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Benefits & Leave Administration: Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollments, and claims. Process leave requests and ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a similar role, with experience in high-volume recruiting preferred. Experience with field recruiting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HRIS systems, and recruitment best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
