Back-of-House Applicant Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must have availability on Friday and Saturday.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week.
- Prior experience as a cook, grill cook, fry cook, prep cook, line cook, chef, restaurant crew member, team member, or other BOH restaurant jobs is preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Team Members must be able to:
- Lift up to 40-60 pounds on a consistent basis
- Work in high-paced environments
- Work on your feet for up to 3 hours before a break
- Adhere to all safety, food handling, and sanitation guidelines established by Chick-fil-A and local health authorities.
- Be dependable, punctual, and reliable; demonstrating commitment to scheduled shifts and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Back-of-House Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Follow recipe guidelines and portion control procedures to prepare ingredients and assemble food items accurately and efficiently.
- Cooking and Production: Cook and prepare menu items in accordance with Chick-fil-A's cooking procedures and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food items meet Chick-fil-A's quality and presentation standards, conducting visual inspections and adhering to proper cooking times and temperatures.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including food prep areas, cooking equipment, and utensils. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, restocking ingredients, and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow team members, including front-of-house staff, communicating effectively and supporting each other to ensure smooth operations. Take direction from supervisors and other leaders.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling and storage of food, adherence to OSHA guidelines, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
