Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of in-store operations, including staffing, scheduling, food safety, inventory, and cash handling
- Drive sales and profit growth while ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team
- Lead daily operations with a focus on quality, service, and efficiency
- Monitor financial statements and performance metrics to optimize productivity
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, food cost tracking, and loss prevention
- Foster a positive and motivating workplace culture
- Maintain store cleanliness and operational excellence, ensuring the team remains productive at all times
- Lead by example in engaging guests and promoting customer loyalty programs
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous management experience required; minimum 1 year as a shift lead or manager in a full-service, casual dining, or quick-service restaurant
- Leadership: Strong skills in coaching, training, and team development
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of P&L, sales performance, and goal setting
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in spreadsheets and basic restaurant management software
- Guest Focus: Strong ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage time, priorities, and quality standards effectively
- Self-Motivation & Integrity: Ability to lead by example and maintain company standards with excellence
- Communication Skills: Ability to use emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and self-control when interacting with employees and customers
Work Schedule & Physical Requirements:
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends (Schlotzsky’s hours of operation: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 7 days a week)
- Typical closing shift finishes by 9:45 PM or earlier
- Ability to work a 35+ hour workweek
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to perform, teach, and train all aspects of assistant manager and line employee positions as needed
- Ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations in the store
- Understand that in times of emergency, extra hours and efforts may be required
- Ability to organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and ladder use
