Pizza Inn - Immediate Hiring: Restaurant HR Manager

Pizza Inn, a beloved brand in Eastern NC, is seeking a talented HR Manager to oversee all personnel-related matters at our restaurant. Join us in our mission to provide excellent customer service through engaged and productive employees. This position will be a hybrid position between HR and Restaurant Management. 8-12 hours per week will be spent actively in the HR role. The remaining hours will be spent in guest services and working with team members. This is not a full time office position.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with scheduling and training manager to ensure team members are onboarded and trained properly.
  • Actively supervise and monitor team member performance during peak periods.
  • Assist team members with ticket changes, coupons and discounts.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings, enforce and uphold all Pizza Inn Team Member Handbook policies.
  • Create hiring plans for front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house team members
  • Promote open roles using online and print job ads
  • Conduct thorough and effective interviews, reference checks, and background screenings to ensure the selection of qualified candidates
  • Track key recruiting metrics and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Prepare job offers
  • Manage benefits packages
  • Assist with the management of payroll and maintain updated records
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and training records
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of HR policies and practices within the restaurant

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not required.
