They must follow all company guidelines to maintain and minimize restaurant costs, proper use of all products, supplies, and equipment facilities. The manager is the one who establishes an environment of trust to ensure honest, open, and direct communication with team members and guests. Our Managers motivate, encourage and guide all our team members to maintain a great work environment and good place to be.
The Manager provides strategic direction to his/her team, must maintain operations and drive results to his/her restaurant, through people development, sales, and profit growth. The manager must hire, train, and develop Team Members and Managers that share the Dave’s Hot Chicken values and culture and must convey our culture to his/her team and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Dave’s.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Displays leadership in guest hospitality
- Exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
- Prepares team members for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs to maintain levels of high productivity and team morale.
- Effectively manage with an ownership mentality within the policies and guidelines of the company, always ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
- Helps team members identify specific behaviors that will contribute to service excellence.
- Identifies performance gaps and works with other managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance.
- Drives brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
- Manages budget in alignment with Human Resources and property financial goals.
- Manages department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities.
- Effectively and consistently conduct and/or ensure that required Ops Walks and Q&A checks to correct areas of opportunity are being completed
- Ensure that shift schedules are organized for Team Members and monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off.
- Ensure Shift Leaders & Team Members work together with their co-workers to prepare items on the Dave's Hot Chicken menu while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness is conducted daily.
- Handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy.
- Communicate Shift Leader & Team Member work performance to the restaurant management team and appropriately address performance issues.
- Ensure all required administrative duties and daily paperwork including required checklists are completed.
- Supervise and perform closing and/or opening activities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual is Highly Preferred skill for the position.
- Firm understanding and management of business outcomes (sales drivers, profit drivers, reading P&L, and daily reports).
- General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation.
- Advanced understanding of food service procedures.
