Job Overview:
Dishwasher’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff. Must wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.
Responsibilities of Dishwasher:
- Proper uniform and slip resistant shoes
- Maintain all dishwashing equipment, keeping it clean and sanitary
- Show up on time always ready to work
- Monitor dish machine water temperature and detergent/sanitizer/chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the kitchen manager immediately.
- Keep busy, keep trash taken out and floors swept and mopped
- Stock out all plates and utensils - ongoing
- Organize and put up food deliveries
- Assist with cleaning of walls, equipment as needed
- Assist with portioning and kitchen prep as assigned
- Work rapidly with attention to detail, plates and silverware, glassware clean
Qualifications of Dishwasher:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work under the direction of the Chefs
- Hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production
- Demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace while standing for long periods of time
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
