Restaurant Leader Role Description
At Chick-fil-A, the Operations Lead role is foundational to the consistent execution of remarkable service. In addition to working directly for an independent Operator, Operations Leads’ gain valuable leadership experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. The Operations Lead is responsible for guaranteeing that guest service is executed at a high level while maintaining a fun work environment. The Operations Lead reports directly to the Director for that service area (Back of House or Front of House). Success for the Operations Lead is dependent on providing our guests with excellent service, holding Team Members accountable to executing our vision and core values, and maintaining a clean, food-safe environment. We want you to be empowered to ensure all guests receive signature Chick-fil-A service and food.
Restaurant Leader Responsibilities
- Run a shift effectively
- Ensure that best practices are being followed especially as it pertains to food safety
- Hold the team to Chick-fil-A standards
- Develop emerging restaurant leaders
- Manage day to day tasks
- Celebrate successes with the team
- Be able to properly handle phone calls and customer complaints in the restaurant
- Manage labor cost
- Attend and contribute at monthly department meetings
- Establish accountability with Team Members
- Maintain a fun work environment
- Communicate expectations to team, ranging from Team Members to Directors
- Work with the Operator and leadership team to maintain vision alignment
- Ownership of a restaurant task outside of running a shift. For example: scheduling, training, inventory, social media
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 Years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry
- 40-45 Hours a week availability, Saturday availability required
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have excellent computer skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- ServSafe Certified
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience in both Front of House and Back of House operations of a restaurant
