Wallauer Paint, Hardware & Design is a trusted provider of high-quality paint, hardware, and design services in the region. We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Class B CDL 26' Box Truck Driver to join our team, performing interstore transfers, deliveries, scrap runs, and other essential logistics duties throughout Westchester, Putnam, Rockland counties, and the five boroughs.

Position Summary:

As a Class B CDL Driver & Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the 26' box truck and/or van. This includes performing daily deliveries, picking up goods, and managing interstore transfers while ensuring inventory is correctly handled. You will also support warehouse tasks, including stocking, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting with general operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Driving & Delivery:

• Safely operate a 26' box truck or van to transport goods across Westchester, Putnam, Rockland counties, and the five boroughs of NYC.
• Pre-load the truck with required deliveries and plan the most efficient delivery routes.
• Deliver goods on time, ensuring accurate and complete delivery of items to specified locations.
• Ensure all transfers, deliveries, and pickups are completed as instructed by the Paint Manager.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:

• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the truck or van is safe and operational.
• Check truck fluids, tire pressure, and ensure all safety features are in working order.
• Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.
• Ensure all truck inspections, insurance, and registration are up to date and compliant with regulations.

Warehouse Support:

• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the warehouse.
• Use equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to load and unload deliveries.
• Ensure inventory transfer tickets are accurate and complete, verifying the correct items are loaded onto the truck.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform scrap runs and dispose of materials as directed.
• Assist with any other warehouse or delivery-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
• Ability to safely load and unload heavy cargo using appropriate equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

Preferred:

• Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Knowledge of the local area, including Westchester, Putnam, Rockland counties, and the 5 boroughs.
• Familiarity with routine vehicle maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
