Killer Burger – General Manager

Job Philosophy:

Killer Burger is a family of rock and roll burger joints devoted to making the perfect burger every time and creating an oasis for our guests. We’re looking for someone who has a great personality and a strong work ethic to be our General Manager for Killer Burger in Portland!

The General Manager promotes Killer Burger's core values in everything they do as the leader of their team. They host the party and create an oasis for our guests. They support and promote positive team relationships based on dignity and respect. The General Manager makes decisions that reinforce and uphold the stewardship of our resources including food, facilities and finances. They uphold our quality value of making perfect burgers every time. In everything the General Manager does for Killer Burger, they are an ambassador of our brand.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Passion for burgers and beer
• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant
• High energy & sense of urgency; must be able to work fast and efficiently
• Ability to effectively supervise Crew, Leaders and Assistant Managers in your store
• Outstanding work ethic & demonstrated high level of integrity
• Insight into the most demanding customer’s perspective
• Ability to model and demonstrate friendliness, respect and clarity in communications with customers and staff

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of restaurant experience with at least 1 year of restaurant management
• Stellar customer service skills
• Prep work or line cooking
• Shift management
• Ordering & inventory management; maintaining appropriate food costs
• Scheduling & labor management; maintaining appropriate labor percentage
• HR & training experience

Additional requirements:

• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
• Ability to lift 45lbs
• Must be able to do store errands and attend virtual and in-person company and community meetings
• Must have basic proficiency with MS Office; Outlook & Calendars etc.
• Must be able to count, calculate and balance money
• Must be able to fill in and work all positions in the store

Salary: $50,000 starting, DOE
