- Bartenders craft and serve drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standards.
- Bartenders guide guests through the menu, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Bartenders have excellent customer service skills, money management skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Bartenders have creativity and have a knowledge of all wines, spirits, and beers is key to success in this position.
Required skills and qualifications to be a Bartender with Somewhere on earth:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
Physical requirements for Bartender with Somewhere on earth:
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
While specific scheduling needs may vary, in general applicants are expected to have availability to work a mix of both weekdays and weekends as well as a mix of daytime and closing (night) shift availability.
