The Top of the Market, a fine dining restaurant located on the bay in San Diego, is looking for a restaurant floor manager in San Diego. The Floor Manager, under direction of the General Manager, is responsible for ensuring that service standards and food quality are maintained as well as leading by example.
Essential Job Duties:
- Training, coaching, and developing team members to ensure they are meeting our organization’s standards.
- Responding efficiently to guest complaints.
- Ensuring safety & sanitation.
- Conducting inventories to ensure that proper levels are stocked and assessing ordering patterns and changes.
- Scheduling staff.
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards.
- Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
- Recruiting and interviewing new staff members
- Maintaining a safe and secure business
- Making hiring and termination recommendations to General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Five years’ experience full service, high volume, fine dining restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Number
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to motivate and direct team members and work effectively in management team
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving
- Ability to stand and walk around a restaurant to supervise operations for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and raise arms above head on occasion
