New Cafe opening in Southpark Meadows shopping center this Fall. Now hiring Kitchen Manager
Summary of Responsibilities
At Another Broken Egg we are proud of our southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch! This role is second in command to the General Manager with primary responsibility for the kitchen. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can make today a success while driving consistency and realizing business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served to Guests while also achieving company goals
• Be a role model, facilitator, trainer and able teammate in all hourly positions
• Partners with Owner and General Manager to set long and short term strategies to achieve sales and operations goals
• Responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, inventory, and food cost
• Scheduling adequately to facilitate preparation and production while maintaining standard labor costs
• Meet company standards in terms of interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing, evaluating, and terminating employees based on company policy
• Control labor cost by scheduling based upon forecasted sales, positions needed, and proper time management
• Responsible for upholding and training quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness, methods of cooking, plate presentation, portion and cost control
• Responsible for results of all Health Department, 3rd party health inspections, Secret Shop, and Franchise inspections
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance program
• Provide training in sanitation, first aid, lifting and carrying objects, and handling hazardous materials
• Create a happy, safe, and rewarding work environment for all team members
• Assist General Manager in various tasks including but not limited to hiring, training, opening and closing procedures, front of house management support, and running shifts.
Qualifications:
• Fluent speaking Spanish and conversational level of English
• At least five years of kitchen management experience
• At least ten years of general kitchen experience
• Ability to set and achieve high standards across a team
• Strong training and development skills
• Ability to identify and develop future leaders
• Can get strong results through others
• Analytical capability to use data to make sound business decisions
• Ability to set and execute strategies to achieve vision and objectives
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
• Be able to safely reach, bend, lift and easily maneuver up to 60 pounds
• Must have the stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
