Role Summary:
A Facilities Assistant and Equipment/Maintenance Assistant are considered crucial positions in the daily operation of the business. They are the leaders of their respective areas, while utilized as subject matter experts on the preventative care and maintenance of our facility and equipment. This position is almost exclusively operational and at times used in training new team members in the proper care of our facility. You will play a major role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for both team members and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring that all facilities meet Chick-fil-A's standards of excellence. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
The Equipment/Maintenance Assistant at Chick-fil-A Florence plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen equipment and machinery, essential for maintaining high standards of food quality and service. This position is responsible for assisting the Facilities/Equipment Lead in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Primary Facilities Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks according to our Jolt cleaning procedures, including but not limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing hard to get to floors while the business is in operation.
- Cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and other furniture.
- Comprehensive deep cleaning of the kitchen facilities, restrooms, front counter, and cage.
- Regular inspections of equipment to identify and address any issues.
- Ensure maintenance schedules are followed and all equipment pieces are properly serviced and maintained.
- Comprehensive deep cleaning of the kitchen equipment as needed.
- Uphold safety standards and protocols at all times, including:
- Following proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the restaurant.
- Reporting any safety concerns or incidents to Facilities Lead immediately.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.(or coordinate repair with a certified technician)
- Collaborate with members of the Facilities team to ensure efficient operation of the restaurant, including:
- Communicating effectively with Facilities Lead and the team.
- Having a positive attitude and being willing to take criticism.
- Assisting with tasks outside of primary responsibilities during peak business hours or as needed.
