Salary Range: starting at $55,000 and up depending on experience
Midwood Smokehouse is currently looking to hire a Sous Chef that can help us continue to grow our exciting and fast-paced brand. We strive to deliver operational excellence while creating a culture where guests and crew alike, rave about the service and food that we provide. As a Sous Chef, you will help manage the back of the house. From training to food prep to the perfect execution of our recipes.

Daily Sous Chef Responsibilities Include:
- Follow all recipe, safety, and sanitation standards
- Regulate production according to restaurant needs
- Build and maintain wood fires in the pit
- Communicate with line staff to keep production stocked
- Prepare and stock seasoned meats for production
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Direct the hiring, supervision, and development of the Back of House Team
We Are Looking for a Sous Chef Who:
- Has a High School Diploma (Four Year Degree or Culinary Degree preferred)
- Has at least 2-3 years working as a full-time Chef (preferred candidate has heavy BBQ experience)
- Has experience in quality food production, presentation, service and sanitation
- Has advanced understanding of professional cooking, knife handling skills and a voracious appetite for knowledge
- Can speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, supervisors, and guests
- Must respect the process, the meat, and cooking in general
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lead, train, and motivate the kitchen staff
