Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Quality: Ensure that every meal served meets Chick-fil-A’s high standards of taste, freshness, and presentation. Maintain consistency and attention to detail in all food preparations.
  • Food Safety: Oversee all food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations. Monitor food temperatures, storage procedures, and sanitation practices to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
  • Opening/Closing Duties: Lead the kitchen during opening and/or closing shifts, ensuring that the kitchen is properly stocked, cleaned, and organized.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Lead by example with a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Efficiency & Productivity: Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during high-volume periods, directing team members to prioritize tasks and maintain speed without sacrificing quality.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and the work area meets health and safety standards.
  • Goal-Oriented Leadership: Set and achieve team goals, manage performance, and provide direction and feedback under pressure during peak hours.
  • Collaboration: Work with other team leads and management to ensure smooth kitchen-to-front-of-house operations and a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous leadership experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide leadership with a positive, empathetic attitude.
  • Goal-Oriented: Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and driven to meet and exceed kitchen goals.
  • Adaptable: Able to stay calm under pressure, giving clear direction and maintaining high standards even during busy times.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Food Management Certificate: Valid Suffolk County Food Manager License/ ServSafe License is a plus !
