SUMMARY: The Server at Ten20 Tavern is responsible for providing an outstanding guest experience through friendly, attentive, and efficient service. Servers take orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure that guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience. Servers also maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, support the team, and ensure smooth operations during their shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Guest Service: Greet and seat guests promptly, take food and drink orders, and deliver orders to the table in a timely manner. Ensure that guests' needs are met throughout their visit and that they have an exceptional dining experience.
- Order Accuracy: Communicate orders accurately to the kitchen and bar staff. Ensure that all special requests or dietary needs are noted and fulfilled properly.
- Table Maintenance: Regularly check on guests to ensure their satisfaction, refill drinks, and clear empty plates or glasses. Reset tables quickly for new guests, maintaining a clean and inviting dining area.
- Food and Drink Delivery: Serve food and beverages according to Ten20 Tavern’s standards of quality, presentation, and timing.
- Upselling and Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, daily specials, and drink offerings. Recommend menu items, upsell, and suggest pairings to enhance
the guest experience.
-Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations during shifts. Assist with bussing, restocking, or covering for other staff as needed.
-Cash Handling and Payment Processing: Process customer payments accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and checks following company procedures. Provide accurate change and receipts.
-Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized, including wiping down tables, sweeping the floors, and keeping side stations stocked and tidy.
- Compliance: Adhere to all food safety, alcohol service regulations, and company policies. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both guests and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old (or older if serving alcohol).
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
-Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays or buses, and lift up to 30 lbs.
-Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting: Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs. (e.g., trays, dishware, drinks).
-Mobility: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.
-Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for tasks such as handling trays, utensils, and point-of-sale system.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
