Server Assistants are the engine that drives the front of the house. Their responsibilities are diverse and prioritization is critical. Ideal candidates for this position are expected to be highly organized, have focused attention to detail, the ability to move quickly and multitask under pressure, and strong communication skills.
Members of our support staff are crucial to the execution of service by efficiently supporting and collaborating with wait staff, host, and management positions. As all roles are critical to the success of a restaurant it is everyone’s responsibility to be aware of all aspects of the flow of service.
Experience in customer service is required.:
The primary responsibility of our support team members are as follows:
• Greet and water guests immediately upon sitting down.
• Deliver food to guests in a precise and timely manner.
• Keep wait-stations stocked and immaculate.
• Pre-bus, bus, clean, and reset tables correctly and expediently.
• Deliver food and drinks to guests in an accurate, professional and timely manner.
• Maintain communication with all members of staff to ensure ease of service.
• Exhibit proper dining room etiquette.
• Exhibit proper kitchen etiquette.
• Assist in polishing of glasses and flatware.
• Refill water and periodically check on guests to handle any issues promptly.
• Maintain our high food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and reset tables.
Requirements:
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working in a busy restaurant environment.
• Ability to work on feet for ten hours a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead onto high shelves.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Available to work weekends and evenings and occasional holidays.
• Strong communication skills.
• The ability to work quickly and adapt on the go.
• The ability to multitask and instinctual awareness.
