Responsible for cleanliness of the kitchen and basic maintenance of all equipment. Cleans the kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and garbage.
Primary Responsibilities
• Clean and organize walk-in freezer and refrigerator on a regular basis
• Keep all food-prep areas, office, cage & catering area clean and orderly
• Take out garbage and ensure proper sorting and efficiency. Clean garbage area, dumpster and garbage cans
• Follow cleaning schedule
• Follow all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles
• Follow all ServSafe principles
• Maintain dishwasher clean & assist with washing of dishes and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in foodservice and housekeeping preferred
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must be able to read packaging labels and instructions on cleaning products
Physical Demands
• This work requires the following physical abilities: climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, lifting.
Work Environment
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures, hot and cold
• The noise level in the kitchen maybe loud at times due to use of equipment
