At Chick-fil-A Halcyon, Shift Leaders are responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management and ensuring that each restaurant guest has an outstanding experience. Shift Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant in the absence of a manager; following established opening, transition and closing procedures.

Responsibilities include:
- Leads and inspires Team Members to deliver exceptional food & service that creates lasting memories for our guests. Wears many hats – welcoming Guests & Team Members with a smile, ensuring their experience runs smoothly, and resolving any concerns with grace and professionalism.
- Ensures that food is prepared and served to the highest standards and maintains a safe and efficient work environment for our team.
- Ensures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
- Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
- Ensures that workstations are clean, organized and well-stocked at all times.
- Ensures that Team Members monitor dining room, kitchen, storage areas, restroom, parking lot and overall facility cleanliness.
- Prepares all shift set ups well in advance of shift. Coordinates any callouts or changes needed to properly execute an enjoyable Team Member shift that results in remarkable experiences for our Guests.
- Ensures all set ups are designed to maximize Team Member skill sets in a sequential structure & rotates Team Member workload in effort to provide the best possible service to our Guests.
- Adjusts shift staffing per sales volume and manages labor & food costs to meet company standards.
- Ensures/reports maintenance, cleanliness & organization of all equipment, supplies and inventory promptly.
- Proactively addresses any Guest or Team Member issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues.
- Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all Team Members with respect while providing them with direction and feedback.
- Communicates Team Member performance & policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
- Strictly adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
- Clearly and concisely communicates orders and instructions to Team Members & fellow leaders to ensure a seamless shift.
- Prevents & resolves all bottlenecks across both Back-of-House (BOH) & Front-of-House (FOH) operations to proactively protect Guest & Team Member experience.
- Supports fellow leaders running shift and continues to lead Team Members & shift performance ensuring leadership is present and balanced in the operations across the entire service area.
Back-of-House (BOH)
- Serves as the guardian of our food safety & food quality experience.
- Oversees all aspects of kitchen operations during every shift across the kitchen and Back-of-House areas.
- Opens, transitions and closes the kitchen, prep areas, inventory storage, holding areas, backroom area, parking lot and restaurant campus following established procedures.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all team members are contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Supports coordination & executes timely, food-safe production of all catering orders.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are met.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets our high standards.
- Manage food inventory and ordering to avoid waste.
- Prepare and cook food as needed, following recipes and procedures accurately.
Front-of-House (FOH)
- Serves as the guardian of our Guest experience.
- Oversees all aspects of guest-facing operations during every shift across the dining room, drive-thru, mobile pickup area, catering & exterior campus.
- Opens, transitions and closes the restrooms, dining room, drive-thru, mobile pick-up area, catering, parking lot and restaurant campus following established procedures.
- Manages pace of business and ensures smooth table turnover, mobile order pickup & drive-thru car count.
- Supports order taking, execution & timely, food-safe delivery of all catering orders.
- Answers incoming phone calls and handles all Guest requests or effectively delegates to appropriate leader.
- Proactively addresses any Guest concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensures that cashiers follow cash handling procedures & POS system proficiency at all times.
- Executes proper security and cash handling and control procedures and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
- Monitors weather constantly and adjusts operational set up to ensure safety for our Team Members and Guests.

Requirements:
