The food expo is responsible for orchestrating the pace and flow between the kitchen and the Front of the House. The expo is responsible for ensuring all food orders are garnished and plated according to the executive chef standards. The expo’s job is to send out food to the proper table at the right temperature, on a timely manner. The expo will be responsible for performing side work duties, stocking and restocking stations. The expo will act as a liaison for cooks, servers and bar tenders and work under the direct supervision of the Associate Managers.

- The expo must be able to read many ticket orders accurately and quickly under pressure.
- 0-1 years working and excelling in the service industry expediting, running food or bar backing.
- The ability to learn fire times, line processes and responsibilities.
- The ability to learn and know all the restaurant table numbers to ensure that when a guest is in need of a server or bar tender, the expo will communicate to those needs.
- The ability to reject an improperly plated, garnished or poorly done dish while effectively and assertively communicating responsible parties of such incidents.
- The ability to consistently maintain a minimum of 90% proficiency score on all testing conducted by management.
- The commitment to learn about craft beer, food, Scotch, cigars, wine and cooking methods.
- The ability to interact with The Hoppy Monk guests in a charismatic, sincere and enthusiastic manner.
- The ability to work long hours and non-predictable shifts in a fast paced and sometimes chaotic environment, while offering the very best experience to our patrons.
