The Assistant Restaurant General Manager's role is to provide outstanding guest at all times, making the Guest, and our Hourly Partners the heart and passion of all they do. The Assistant Restaurant General Manager demonstrates a consistent track record of both positive business results and effective, sustained leadership that contributes to the brand’s success. The Assistant Restaurant General Manager upholds all company policies, procedures and standards through their team Hourly Partners. They are responsible for hiring, training, and cross-training of the hourly partner team. They are responsible to maintain existing standards.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Work Experience
⦁ High school diploma, or general equivalency diploma (GED);
⦁ Some college preferred
· Two to five years of high volume restaurant management in a Fast Casual and or Full-service restaurant experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
⦁ Exceptional leadership and motivational skills required. Must be able to attract, train, develop and retain the very best Hourly Partners and Management in the industry.
⦁ Exceptionally strong Food and Guest focus mentality, with the ability to provide an exceptional dining experience for each Guest.
⦁ Ability to define, measure and attain stretch financial goals for the restaurant – with a focus on year-over-year sales growth, Guest count increases, effective staffing levels, great service, add-on sales, and labor cost management.

⦁ Responsible for development of Kitchen Trainers and Service Trainers to develop their teams.
⦁ Responsible for establishing and appropriately communicating goals to the Restaurant General Manager and Franchisee on a regular basis. This includes: daily accountability of restaurant sales, actions taken on projects, progress on company initiatives, situations discussed in Manager meetings, Guest comments, restaurant staffing and labor, Manager and Manager in Training performance and financial results.
⦁ Communicates effectively with the Management Team.
⦁ Ensures Hourly Partners and Manager schedules support the positive performance of the restaurant by verifying the right people in place and par levels are scheduled according to HotSchedule's payroll forecasts.
⦁ Uses Developmental Action Plans and coaching to develop those under him/her to become better Managers and Hourly Partners.
⦁ Schedules time for one on one meetings with Managers and Hourly Partners to review progress and provide direction and feedback.
⦁ Ensures service standards are maintained consistently.
⦁ Ensures food and beverage standards are maintained consistently.
⦁ Ensures all Managers and Hourly Partners have the supplies to do their job.
⦁ Reports the state of the business during Business Reviews each Period with the Restaurant General Manager, Director of Operations/Franchisee.
⦁ Plans, executes and follows up with new company initiatives and limited time offers
⦁ Effectively utilizes all communication tools: email, written correspondence and pre shift notes.
⦁ Utilizes Local Restaurant Marketing to inspire community involvement and build sales.
⦁ Ensures the facility meets all Health Code and company brand and food safety standards through regular maintenance of the building, outside areas and equipment.
⦁ Verifies all daily administration is carried out according to policy and standards.
⦁ Maintains the restaurant facility and outside areas at an excellent level
⦁ Attends Manager Meetings weekly with an agenda and time allotted for discussion.
⦁ Supports the Management Team to consistently improve.
⦁ Plans and leads All- Hourly Partner meetings.
⦁ Ensures dress code standards are 100% for all Managers and Hourly Partners.
⦁ Communicates effectively with vendors, addressing concerns as needed.
⦁ Ensures Hourly Partners Performance Review and Management Review Cycle is being followed.
⦁ Ensures yearly Performance Review process is being effectively followed.
⦁ Writes and delivers Hourly Partner Performance Reviews.
⦁ Provides a safe working environment for Managers and Team Members through the use of the Safety Program.
⦁ Ensures all Hourly Partner information – File Folders, Employee Records and signed documentation meets company policy and all local, state and federal laws are strictly followed.
⦁ Provides direction, coaching and leadership for all Hourly Partners including training, standards, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
⦁ Interviews and assists in final selection of all Hourly Partners, maintaining appropriate staffing par levels.
⦁ Determines appropriate pay-increase percentages for Hourly Partners.
⦁ Ensures effective rollout of all food and beverage features, LTO's, and menu additions.
⦁ Promotes sales building behaviors with Managers and Hourly Partners.
⦁ Accountable for the financial performance of the restaurant.
⦁ Verifies local contracts by the service provided and the fiscal outlay.
⦁ Responsible for inventory control for all P&L cost centers.
⦁ Ensures weekly inventories and reconciles findings.
⦁ Implements planning that results in improved financial (sale and cost centers) performance in all areas of the operation. Follows up on all financial actions plans.
