Shift Manager - Chick-fil-A

As a shift manager, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, managing a talented staff, and ensuring Chick-fil-A remains a beloved destination for our guests. Reports to: Director of Operations


Qualifications:

  • Must have 2+ years of proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Must be able to adhere to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and consistently show up on time.
  • Must have strong business and financial acumen to manage resources, limit waste, and make informed decisions.
  • Must have a proven track record for leading shifts effectively in a high-volume business.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and leadership.
  • Must have a deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems to address operational challenges and ensure smooth restaurant functions.
  • Must be able to lead, train, retain, and mentor team members for success.


Expectations:

  • Lead restaurant shifts effectively using the 6-20 team members scheduled for that shift.
  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations during a shift, including food quality, cleanliness, safety, and service efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing concerns, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and upholding Chick-fil-A's commitment to hospitality.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Follow training programs assigned by the Restaurant Director team to equip team members with the skills and knowledge required for success.

  • Total starting compensation for this role is $19-21/hour which is estimated to be between $50,000-$55,000/yr. including the hourly rate, overtime, health care benefits, paid time off, and a generous 401(k) match.
