Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for the team, demonstrating our Paw Print core values
- Partner with your Store Team Leader to train, coach, and lead the team members in achieving exceptional metrics in neighbor engagement, sales, and store operations
- Accurately complete paperwork, reporting and POS transactions
- Ensure store is clean, the animals are well cared for, and cash handling, safety and security standards are followed according to company policies
- Help to build partnerships with local rescue groups and charities
- Assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting new hires
Qualifications:
- Have a genuine passion for pets and an interest in pet care and nutrition
- Have solid communication abilities with leadership skills and an attention to detail
- 2+ years of retail experience, managing a team in leadership role
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Be able to operate and use all equipment to run the store, including a forklift
