The Back of House (BOH) Team Member (TM) is responsible for ensuring that food and services are delivered to guests in a manner that reflects the purpose and quality requirements of Chick-fil-A, Inc., as well as the mission, vision and values of Chick-fil-A Calallen. The BOH TM is responsible for serving guests in a respectful and caring manner. The BOH TM is accountable for achieving high performance in the following areas: Order Accuracy, Speed of Service, Taste, Cleanliness, and Restaurant Operational Excellence (ROE). The BOH TM ensures that food is prepared in a manner that maintains quality and food safety standards. S/he completes duties and responsibilities quickly to ensure that high-quality, hot, fresh food is served to guests in a timely manner. The BOH TM ensures that the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean and organized.

Back of House Team Member Responsibilities:
- Adheres to food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Accurately fulfills orders on the monitors and ensures the packaging of items meets quality standards
- Ensures that catering orders are executed timely and in a remarkable manner
- Restocks primary, secondary, and other kitchen workstations as needed
- Keeps kitchen and food preparation areas clean
- Follows the leadership direction provided by the BOH Team Leader(s) and/or Director of Kitchen Excellence
- Ensures the safety of the kitchen environment by adhering to training requirements and communicating any issues to the BOH Team Leader and/or Director of Kitchen Excellence
- Collaborates with BOH Team Members to achieve assigned tasks/goals
- Communicates product and/or inventory issues to the BOH Team Leader and/or Director of Kitchen Excellence
- Communicates with Front of House Leaders regarding any kitchen activities impacting the guest experience
- Stewards resources effectively to ensure that performance metrics such as target food and labor costs are met
- Assists fellow Team Members when finished with assigned duties to ensure guests receive a caring experience
- When present in front of house areas, engages and connects with guests by executing Winning Hearts Everyday principles, including Core Four Behaviors and 2nd Mile Service
- Ensures assigned duties are completed by the end of the shift and ensures restaurant needs are communicated to the next shift
- Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Loves serving and helping others
- Customer service oriented
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills

- Able to multi-task
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Have the ability to lift and carry 40-60 lbs on a regular basis
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours)
- Have the ability to complete repetitive tasks with few breaks
- Must be able to operate kitchen appliances and complex fryers
Working Conditions:
- Works in a fast-paced environment
- Regularly engages with coworkers to accomplish tasks
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- May work around equipment that generates heat and experience cold environments in the walk-in cooler and freezer
